**Your Promise to Us (and Ours to You!):**
When you book directly through our website, you are confirming that all the information you provide is **correct and accurate**. In return, we promise to honour the booking confirmation we send you, based on the details you entered.
**Paying for Your Stay:**
We use a safe, secure system to process all payments. This will require you to enter your payment details (like your card number) – rest assured, this information is handled with the **utmost care** and is never shared outside of the necessary payment processing channels.
**Secure Steps:**
Our booking system is encrypted, which is the technical way of saying your financial data is kept safe from prying eyes.
**Money Matters:**
Depending on your booking, we may take a deposit or the full payment at the time of booking. You'll see the exact details before you confirm. If you need to cancel, our cancellation policy (which you’ll see before booking) will explain any potential charges.
**Your Personal Info:**
We collect things like your name, email, and maybe your phone number, purely so we can manage your booking and keep in touch about your stay. We promise to keep your personal information **private** and we’ll only use it in line with data protection laws (and our separate Privacy Policy, which has all the boring legal details!). We **won't sell** your data to third parties – ever.
🏡 While You're Our Guest We hope The Ceilidh Place feels like a cosy home-from-home! To keep it that way for everyone, we have a few wee requests:
**Respect the Space:**
Remember that The Ceilidh Place is a hotel, bunkhouse, bar, bookshop, and music venue all wrapped up in one! Please be mindful of other guests, particularly late at night in the hotel areas. We are a place for conviviality, but **excessive noise** that disturbs others is never tolerated.
**Looking After Things:**
We know accidents happen! However, if there is any **serious damage** to your room or our property caused by you or someone in your party, we might need to ask you to cover the cost of repair or replacement. This includes things like ignoring our strict
**No Smoking policy**
Smoking is absolutely not permitted inside any of our buildings (rooms, bar, communal areas, etc.). If we find evidence of smoking inside, we will have to charge a significant deep-cleaning fee to your room bill. Thank you for using the designated outdoor areas instead!
**Our Stuff is Our Stuff:**
Everything in your room and the communal areas (like the comfy lounge and honesty bar) is for you to use and enjoy *while you are here*. Please **don't take things home** that don't belong to you!
**Children:**
We love having families! We just ask that children are supervised by an adult at all times in all areas of the building, especially in the bar/venue areas, for their own safety and the comfort of other guests.
**Pets:**
If you're bringing a furry friend, brilliant! They are welcome in specific dog-friendly rooms, but please make sure they are **never left unattended** and are kept on a lead in public areas. If a wee accident happens, please clean up after them!
**The Honesty Bar:**
Our famous honesty bar is there for your enjoyment. Please be **honest** and jot down what you've had so we can settle up when you depart. It runs on trust, so let's keep that going!
Right to Ask You to Leave:**
In the very rare and unfortunate event of genuinely **unacceptable or abusive behaviour** towards our staff or other guests, or serious damage to property, we reserve the right to ask you to leave. In this case, no refund will be given. *(We really hope this never happens!)
**Check-in / Check-out:**
You’ll be given times for arrival and departure in your confirmation email. If you need to check-out late, please ask at reception *in advance*—we might be able to manage it, but it often depends on how busy we are.
**Changes & Cancellations:**
If you need to change your dates or cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. Our specific cancellation policy (which is part of your booking confirmation) applies, and this will tell you about any potential charges.
